For my Retail Buying Simulation Class we decided to create a 6 Month Buying Plan on Nordstrom's Shoes; Specifically for Designers.

We had to two assortment plans. One for a larger volume store and one for a smaller volume store. 

The way we distributed our spending was in three categories: High, Medium, and Low.

The High, Medium, and Low is not necessarily a ranking of how expensive or the importance of each designer. We based it out on relevance, styles, and popularity. For example, on our high sector we have designers such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Christian Louboutin. These designers are not just popular to the shopper but they also carry a larger variety of shoes. They qualified as "High" because of the amount of styles we wanted to purchase and because we needed a higher budget in order to afford the investment.

Madewell being one of my favorite brands, I decided to create a mock ad campaign for them. The girl has a story; A girl who loves to travel and explore the world. She is amazed by the beautiful yet mysterious little town. Her effortless tomboy aesthetic makes her fit right in.
